Call for papers: Special issue of the JDE
The management of e-Learning projects in higher education has matured considerably with an increased use and sophistication of project management techniques to accomplish e-Learning project objectives.

The Journal of Distance Education is devoting a special issue to exploring the increased use and maturity of project management practice in support of e-Learning projects, with special (but not exclusive) emphasis on the role of end-users (both instructors and students) in managing e-Learning projects. Submissions should consider how engaging the instructor, student or other end-user or “customer” was instrumental in support e-Learning project teams realize their project goals.

Multiple perspectives and approaches are encouraged. It’s hard to say what the final published collection will look like—themes will naturally emerge from the contributions—but you are encouraged to be unleash your creativity and cast a fresh eye on the increased use of project management at your institution.

Comments or queries are welcome at any time at emailme@beverlypasian.com .

Deadline for proposal submissions is 15 November 2008. Submissions of full papers is 28 Feburary 2009 Expected publication date is Fall 2009.
