eLearning Africa, the Continent’s premier annual conference on ICT-enhanced learning, which is hosted by Tanzania this year, will once again be showcasing a wealth of proposals that promise to stimulate thought and discussion. The comprehensive agenda is now online.

In line with the main theme – Youth, Skills & Employability – many presentations focus on the affordability, sustainability and pedagogical integration of ICTs in ways which can improve the learning, living and employment opportunities of young Africans.

eLearning Africa 2011 will feature:

  • more than 260 speakers from 49 countries
  • 4 plenary sessions
  • 11 parallel conference strands with 66 sessions
  • 11 best practice showcases and demonstrations
  • 4 Umojas
  • 16 pre-conference events and many other new features.

eLearning Africa is held both in English and in French.

Not sure if I will be able to make it to this conference, but for those of you who are looking for a conference in North America, 2elearning.com is hosting an elearning conference this September in Anaheim, California. Elearning is gaining some serious recognition, if you don’t make it to Anaheim, enjoy the one in Tanzania. I hope this information finds you well. Cheers!

  2. I am a Tanzanian by nationality, who is working as an English Lecturer. I assist students who have problems of English Langauge from Government Secondary Schools where Teachers do not teach them effectivelyt and efficiently due to poor training. They find difficulties in understanding the concepts in the Universities. I also work with communities in assisting the orphans and vulnerable children by providing them with basic needs. I am also a Member of Association of Tanzanian Administrators. I would like to participate in e-learning.

      I’m a long way from Tanzania, but there are several organizations developing e-learning in Tanzania. I suggest you contact some of them to see how they may be able to help.
