University of Guelph, Ontario: October 27 & 28, 2011

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

This conference at the University of Guelph will be of interest to the many individuals in higher education who are interested in blending online and face-to-face learning environments to support diverse approaches for diverse learners, while acknowledging the need for cost effectiveness.

This is the 5th annual conference on blended learning sponsored by COHERE and CSSHE (Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education).

The conference will feature a number of concurrent sessions, for which we invite proposals related to one or more of the following sub-themes:

1. Enhancing learning through diverse approaches to blending

2. Using blended learning to serve diverse populations and meet diverse needs

3. Policies and practices for ensuring that pedagogically effective blended learning remains cost effective

Submitting a Proposal

Concurrent presentations will be 40 minutes in length, including time for audience participation. Presenters must register for the conference. To submit a proposal, you can use the online form here (http://cohere.ca/?page_id=8) or use the headings and email to Dr. Norm Vaughan at nvaughan@mtroyal.ca

Deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. MDT on August 29, 2011. Those sending proposals will be notified by September 12, 2011 as to acceptance.

The COHERE adjudication committee will invite selected presenters to submit a paper to a special issue of The Internet and Higher Education (I&HE) focusing on blended learning policy.
