Includes journals relevant to planning and management of distance education and e-learning in post-secondary education.

One would expect journals from institutions committed to open access to be available free of charge to anyone with access to the Internet. Alas, this is not the case for especially the oldest journals in distance education. This list contains journals published in Spanish, French and Chinese, as well as English.

If you have any suggestions for additions or changes, please email me or leave a comment

  1. If Google Books were allowed to publish freely as they had hoped to, more of these journals would be available, and more importantly, findable. Just search for “google books loses court case” to see the latest decision.

  2. I love the university atmosphere but elearning has its place in today’s technological world. Especially with today’s Gen Y and Gen X demographic groups. These kids were raised with this technology and its use in education is just another change in how we adapt to advanced methods of learning. So, just grin and bear it, the tech world is here to stay…

  3. Distance and elearning has helped me to move from being a stay at home mom to running an online marketing company. I had no time to go back to school so learning online was a great benefit. Now my daughter is completing her first year at university and part of her course was online tutorials. There is no escaping the benefits that online learning can give especially when you can now get tutor support while you are online. Becomes the best of both worlds…
