This is an excellent overview of learning analytics, an essential introduction to those who are not sure what learning analytics are, where they came from, and what they can do (or can’t do yet).
The report also concludes that there are still major challenges to be tackled before learning analytics become an easily used set of tools affecting a wide range of online teaching.
