A new online programme leading to a Master of Laws in Chinese Business Law (Business Applications), and due to start in October 2008, is available for global enrolment now from the The Open University of Hong Kong. Presented in English, it is offered by the OUHK’s Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration and is supported by senior members of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Gallant Y T Ho & Co, Solicitor & Notaries. Similar to its Chinese-language version launched last year, the programme caters for the needs of business professionals engaged in Chinese-foreign joint ventures, and managers and proprietors of non-government organizations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. It emphasizes practical applications of Chinese business law from cross-border and comparative perspectives and provides students with fundamental knowledge of the legal frameworks underpinning commercial operations within and outside China.
