OER Africa is an initative of SAIDE which aims to play a leading role in driving the development and use of Open Educational Resources (OER) on the African continent. The OER Africa Advisory Committee meeting was held in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2009. Ephraim Mhlanga, the meeting rapporteur provides an abridged version of his final report.
Dr. Tony Bates is the author of eleven books in the field of online learning and distance education. He has provided consulting services specializing in training in the planning and management of online learning and distance education, working with over 40 organizations in 25 countries.
