I see US legislators are still trying to use chains and yardsticks to measure the speed of light. I don’t need to say anything about this stupid suggestion – just read the comments to the article.
The real problem is not with the credit hours per se as a measure but with the whole process of institutional and program accreditation in the USA, which needs a thorough overhaul. However, this seems to be going about it in the wrong way, or rather from the wrong end of the problem.
