When: Monday, 10 December 2012, between 15.00 – 16.00 CET (9.00 am – 10.00 am EST)
Participation is free but you need to register online at http://www.virtualschoolsandcolleges.info/outcome/visced-webinar-10-december-2012 to be sure of a place.
VISCED is a European partnership of organizations that has been carrying out a systematic review at international and national levels of innovative ICT-enhanced learning/teaching “Exemplar” initiatives and “e-mature” major secondary and post-secondary education providers for the 14-21 age group (including Virtual Schools and Colleges).
This review aims to supply adequate comparative data, statistics and analyses to underpin policy recommendations, critical/key success factors and teacher trainer recommendations – for policy-makers, advisors, government, education authorities and the e-learning industry in the EU.
Project partners will give a summary of the main outputs of the project and describe the status of virtual schools and colleges in Europe. The agenda will also include a set of recommendations emerging from the work of the partners on how best to foster and encourage effective virtual schooling options for those who might benefit from flexible alternatives to traditional schools and colleges.
Unfortunately I shall miss this as it is 6.00 am PST and I’m not an early person. However, VISCED has an excellent wiki and a set of published reports.
