CDLRA Conversations: Decision-Making in Uncertain Times, September 6, 2021

The CDLRA (Canadian Digital Learning Research Association) is in the process of analysing the results from the 2021 survey of Canadian Universities and Colleges.

As the 2021-22 academic year begins, Dr. Brian Desbiens and Dr. Nicole Johnson share key findings from the 2021 National Survey of Online and Digital Learning as they discuss some of the key challenges facing institutions in the coming year. (Declaration of interest: I am Chair of the CDLRA/ACRFL Board).

Brian Desbiens is a CDLRA Board member, but, more importantly, he has over 35 years experience in the management and administration of colleges in the Ontario system. I found his comments on the significance of the findings extremely compelling.

I strongly recommend every senior administrator on the Canadian post-secondary system to view this 28 minute video, which lays out clearly the main challenges all Canadian post-secondary institutions are dealing with as they enter the next phase of managing the ongoing Covid crisis. I also look forward to other videos in this series as more results become available – – watch this space!
